Brosi Lab

Ecological Networks at the University of Washington

We’re hiring! We are recruiting a postdoctoral scholar and a lab manager / research scientist. See our Join Us page for details.

We study how the structure of biological communities—including both biodiversity and ecological network structure—affects ecological functioning, and how that structure and function are affected by environmental change. We primarily, but not exclusively, use plant-pollinator interactions as a model system.

We use a range of approaches, including mathematical modeling, field studies, laboratory experiments, population genetics, and DNA metabarcoding. We are recognized for our work on pollen metabarcoding and offer fee-for-service metabarcoding, including bioinformatics, at very reasonable rates. Contact Berry for more information.
